A proud Muruwari woman, Jane’s plays have made a lasting impact. Stolen toured internationally, while Rainbow’s End continues to shine, winning the 2012 Drovers Award. Her 2020 play The Visitors debuted at Sydney Festival, winning the Sydney Critics Award for Best New Australian Work.

Her novel Becoming Kirrali Lewis won the black&write! Prize and earned spots on prestigious award shortlists. As the former Festival Director of Blak & Bright, Jane is a key figure in the First Nations literary scene.
