We are committed to empowering and uplifting Blak writers through various impactful initiatives. We are proud to pay Blak writers more than any other festival in the country, recognising and valuing their immense talent and contributions.
We pay them for readings, panels, workshops, and performances, providing valuable exposure and helping them reach new audiences. We also pay them for their inclusion in our Blak Stories Hub.
Our professional development events bridge the gap for Blak writers, offering mentorship, training, and insights from established professionals. By fostering a sense of community and belonging, we aim to strengthen the collective voice of First Nations literature.
