Using Blak Literature in the Classroom

Blak & Bright director Jane Harrison joined State Library Victoria‘s Bethany Macdonald to speak at the School Library Association of Victoria Powering Readers Conference. Talking about our hugely successful Education Day Jane and Bethany shared information about the importance of reading and teaching Blak literature in the classroom.

Honest discussion is an integral part of the reconciliation process. Our inaugural event for secondary students, teachers and teacher librarians, Education Day was an incredible opportunity to break down barriers that hold some teachers and librarians back.
