Enjoy a Rosella flower cocktail on arrival while schmoozing with the Blak & Bright literati (plainly speaking, a big mob) at acclaimed restaurant Charcoal Lane. You’ll enjoy gourmet Indigenous canapés, music and drinks while the guest speaker, Stan Yarramunua (biography A Man Called Yarra), shares the story of his extraordinary life.

We’ve named the event in honour of Indigenous fruit the quandong, that glorious bright red fruit that’s a treat in remote areas where no other fruits survive, and the Magpie, the beautiful warbling storyteller. Hosted by Kylie Belling, with Shelley Ware (Marngrook Footy Show) talking about the Indigenous Literacy Foundation and a special performance from Wiradjuri Soprano Shauntai Batzke. All-inclusive and not to be missed.

Presented in partnership with Charcoal Lane, supported by Readings Foundation. This is a fundraiser for the Indigenous Literary Foundation.
