Davey Thompson descends from the Bidjara, Inningai, Wakka Wakka and Gubbi Gubbi tribes of Queensland, and has been living and working in Melbourne since 2015.

He has worked for most of his career behind the scenes in theatre and live events, and has recently worked on a handful of film and television projects. Currently working at ILBIJERRI Theatre Company, Davey also works as a critic for the Yirramboi Blak Critics program – writing reviews for a handful of events across the festival. Davey is also a performer and MC, and you can regularly see him hosting the Australian chapter of Cocoa Butter Club events.
