Tony Birch has published four short story collections, three novels and a volume of poetry. His most recent book is The White Girl (2019). Birch grew up in inner Melbourne in a strong Aboriginal and Irish family. He also has connections to Barbados though his great-great-grandfather, James ‘Prince’ Moodie. Currently, Tony Birch is the Doctor Bruce McGuinness Professorial Research Fellow in the Moondani Balluk Academic Centre at Victoria University.
