Jane Harrison is Director of Blak & Bright. She descends from the Muruwari people of NSW and is an award-winning playwright and author. Becoming Kirrali Lewis, about the search by a young Aboriginal woman for her biological parents, was published in 2015 by Magabala Books and won the 2014 Black & Write! prize. Her most recent play The Visitors was part of the Melbourne Theatre Company’s 2014 Cybec Electric series. Her play Rainbow’s End has been produced in Tokyo and has toured to 33 venues across Australia in 2011 for which it won the 2012 Drover Award. It is on the NSW English syllabus 2015 – 2021. Her first play Stolen, which premiered at the Melbourne International Festival, enjoyed seven years of production across Australia and toured internationally, including to Japan, Hong Kong and the UK. Jane was the co-winner of the Kate Challis RAKA Award 2002 for Stolen. She has an MA in Playwriting from QUT (2010).
